the fantastic green smoothie

I am not in love with green smoothies. I do, however love getting 13 servings of fruits & vegetables everyday. Today I have been doing it for precisely three weeks. And now I'm getting a tiny bit sick of them. but I will press on.

My current recipe for green smoothies:

2 big handfuls of the following:
kale (red or green) 2 svgs
baby spinach (fresh) 2 svgs
carrot greens 1 svg
Then I blend. Then I add:
1 big leaf of collard greens, fresh 1 svg
handful of frozen strawberries 1 svg
half handful frozen blueberries 1 svg
2 T flax seed, ground
1 frozen banana 1 svg
1/2 apple 1 svg
1/2 peach 1 svg
juice of a lemon or orange 1 svg
1 inch grated ginger 1 svg
blend altogether.

I got the idea from my amazing sis in law, who got it from Robyn, the green smoothie girl. All hail Robyn.

Enjoy! 13 servings of fruits/vegetables -- about 5 WW points altogether

I eat half in the morning, half at lunch. Sometimes I supplement it with a sensible breakfast or lunch. Sometimes I don't.
